This role is essential for providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR.Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgery.Prepare and maintain the sterile field and ensure all necessary equipment is available and functioning.Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures.Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.Assist in coordinating patient flow and collaborating with surgical staff to ensure efficient operations.Unit DetailsOperating Rooms: 4 OR suites (typically run 3), 1 endoscopy suite.Average Cases per Day: 20-21 cases.Common Cases:Orthopedic procedures (hips, knees, shoulders, ortho spine)TLIF, hernias, lap choleObstetric (OB), Gynecological (GYN), hysteroscopy, hysterectomyUrology (cysto, prostate), ENT (twice a month), pediatric cases (tubes, tonsils, adenoids), endoscopy.RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.Required Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Minimum of 1-2 years of solid OR experience preferred; endoscopy and orthopedic experience required.Scrubbing required: No.Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: No house supervisor; coordinator available as needed.
