Role Overview:

The Development Director position at Forgotten Angels Foundation is a pivotal role responsible for advancing the organization's mission through strategic fundraising efforts. This position involves cultivating donor relationships, overseeing fundraising initiatives, and coordinating with staff to achieve foundation objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Fundraising Initiatives:

a. Spearhead fundraising campaigns and assemble a dedicated board to support building projects.

b. Potentially assume leadership of Forgotten Angels Foundation in the future.

c. Supervise the creation of website content, newsletters, videos, marketing materials, and informational resources.

2. Resource Acquisition:

a. Identify and apply for grant opportunities, conducting proactive research to explore new avenues for funding.

b. Initiate contact with potential donors through outreach efforts.

c. Establish a comprehensive donor database or identify an appropriate existing system.

3. Leadership and Collaboration:

a. Demonstrate leadership qualities and self-motivation to drive the organization's growth.

b. Achieve performance targets, aiming to raise $250,000 within the first 90 days.

c. Foster strong relationships with individuals with disabilities and contribute to their well-being.

4. Organizational Coordination:

a. Coordinate and manage board meetings, setting agendas to ensure effective decision-making.

b. Plan and execute events, banquets, and fundraisers in alignment with foundation goals.

c. Interface with leadership across various sectors, including the resale shop, financial personnel, Day Hab leadership, and administrative teams.

5. Mission Alignment:

a. Embrace and uphold the core mission and values of Forgotten Angels Foundation.

b. Leverage experience and contacts to enhance the foundation's impact.

6. Compensation and Benefits:

a. Competitive salary range of $50,000 to $75,000, supplemented by Christmas bonuses and inclusive health insurance.

Position Requirements:

1. Faith and Values:

a. Embrace a ministry-minded Christian approach, actively engaging in evangelism and discipleship efforts.

2. Professional Background:

a. Previous experience in non-profit management, preferably in development roles.

b. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

3. Financial Acumen:

a. Basic understanding of non-profit accounting principles.

4. Collaboration:

a. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

5. Commitment to Impact:

a. Demonstrate a strong dedication to improving the lives of others through your work.

6. Physical Considerations:

a. Comfortably stand during events and community outreach, occasionally lifting up to 35 pounds.

b. Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.

c. Capability to stand, work, and drive as needed throughout the day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday
