Job Summary:

Forge Truck Centers is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, possess excellent technical accounting skills, and be proficient in various accounting software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries for all locations.
• Prepare allocation entries and business unit profit/loss reports.
• Complete month-end and year-end close process and procedures to prepare required schedules and reports.
• Oversee general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Perform account reconciliations and analysis to support financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and key performance indicator package for senior management.
• Provide financial support to operating units and perform ad hoc projects assigned by manager.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain a fixed asset roll forward and review inventory from a book and perpetual standpoint.
• Support the development, modification, implementation, and/or integration of new and revised financial systems.
• Extract data from established accounts, summary, and detail ledgers; prepares comprehensive, accurate, concise reports and financial schedules, including supporting documentation.
• Edit and review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness; determines and prepares necessary adjustments.
• Perform complex and detailed research and analysis. Prepares and presents statistical reports.
• Assist with the annual audit and tax workpapers.

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree (B.S. or equivalent) in Accounting
• 3 years of accounting experience
• Excellent technical accounting skills
• High degree of accuracy with data entry and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups and handling large amounts of data)
• Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter; ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision
• Ability to proactively gather facts, problem solve, and implement process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• Public accounting experience
• Automotive or dealership industry experience
• CDK dealership management system experience
