Job Summary
Job Summary
Foresthill Union School District is seeking a creative, student-centered Multi-Subject Teacher with a passion for supporting learners whose strengths, interests, and learning needs are not always well served in a traditional classroom setting. The ideal candidate understands that there is no single pathway to learning and believes that every student deserves an environment where they feel safe, valued, challenged, and inspired. This educator brings a Renaissance spirit to teaching—embracing creativity, curiosity, adaptability, and innovation to design a classroom that offers multiple pathways for students to engage, explore, and demonstrate their learning. This position offers the unique opportunity to create and lead a flexible learning environment for K-3rd grade students, rich with hands-on resources, technology, independent and collaborative learning opportunities, and spaces that foster both academic growth and self-direction. Rather than replacing the general education classroom, this learning space serves as an extension of it, providing students with additional options for success. Collaboration is central to this role. The successful candidate will have dedicated time each week to work closely with classroom teachers, intervention staff, special education staff, counselors, and administrators to design responsive supports that help students thrive while remaining connected to their general education classrooms. Students may access this learning environment in a variety of ways, including scheduled instructional periods, teacher referral, student choice, virtual support, or other flexible arrangements based on individual needs and availability. The successful candidate will help develop systems that empower students to become increasingly independent learners while fostering a culture of belonging, curiosity, and personal growth. If you are energized by the opportunity to rethink traditional learning environments, build meaningful relationship
