Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver that has experience with MI doubles and is ready to get right in a truck and make deliveries to various locations requiring back up skills.
Duties
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times
- ELD's in use
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs of mileage, cargo details, and delivery times
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and management and customer
- Willingness to learn pneumatics and liquid trailers
- Willingness to help with transloads at railyards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in driving with MI doubles
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission operation and doubles
- Familiarity with different truck types including liquid trailers , dump trucks, and vac pneumatics
- Excellent driving record with a commitment to safety and compliance with transportation laws
- Physical ability to load/unload freight and keep gravel trains clean between products
- Ability to help mechanic in garage on slow days a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
