Job Description:
The Snack Bar Worker is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages to members and guests at the club’s snack bar or casual dining area. This role includes taking orders, handling payments, preparing simple menu items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming service area. The ideal candidate is friendly, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Food & Beverage Service:
- Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders and ensure timely preparation and delivery.
- Prepare and serve snack items, sandwiches, salads, drinks, and other casual menu items.
- Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment as needed.
- Ensure proper portion control and food safety standards are maintained.
Customer Interaction & Payment Processing:
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the dining experience.
- Process member account transactions accurately.
- Answer questions about menu items, club events, and dining policies.
Sanitation & Cleanliness:
- Keep the snack bar, prep areas, and dining space clean and organized.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Restock snack bar supplies, condiments, and utensils as needed.
- Dispose of trash and follow recycling procedures.
Qualifications, Education, & Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility successfully. This person must present a neat appearance and have a warm, cheerful personality. Tact and good judgment are especially beneficial characteristics. This person must also possess the knowledge, skill, and ability to carry out the job responsibilities.
- Prior food service or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs (food trays, beverage containers, supplies).
- Working in hot or humid conditions near cooking equipment.
Salary : $16 - $17
