Job Summary

Forest Lake Christian School is seeking a qualified and passionate High School Spanish Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction in Spanish language and culture to high school students while fostering an environment that supports academic excellence and a commitment to integrating Christian faith and values into daily classroom instruction. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that build students’ proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish. This position includes assessing student progress, maintaining effective classroom management, and collaborating with colleagues to support student success. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to instructional best practices, the ability to motivate and engage students in language learning, and a willingness to support the mission and values of a Christ-centered educational environment. Key Responsibilities: -Teach high school Spanish courses aligned with curriculum standards -Develop engaging lesson plans that build students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing proficiency in Spanish -Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage diverse learners -Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments -Maintain accurate records of student performance and grades -Integrate biblical principles and Christian worldview into instruction and classroom culture -Create a positive, structured, respectful, and supportive classroom environment -Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations -Work with parents as partners in education and build strong relationships with students -Contribute to a supportive culture of collaboration with colleagues and administration to support school programs and initiatives -Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events -Support the mission, vision, and

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field Valid teaching credential preferred (or willingness to obtain a credential) Fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) Experience teaching high school students preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A personal commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Christian education

Forest Lake Christian School (“FLCS”) is an independent, coeducational day school serving students from Preschool through Grade 12.
