About Queens Community House (QCH):
Queens Community House (QCH) is a multi-site nonprofit organization serving the diverse communities of Queens through a wide network of programs for children and youth, adults and families, and older adults. With deep roots in the settlement house tradition, we are committed to building inclusive, thriving communities. Our work is grounded in educational equity, social justice, and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

Position Summary:
Queens Community House seeks an experienced educational leader to serve as a Multi-Site Supervisor overseeing K–8 afterschool programs at school and community-based sites across Queens. This role is ideal for a current or former school administrator, instructional coach, or youth program leader who is passionate about advancing educational outcomes beyond the classroom.

As a key member of the Youth Services leadership team, you will directly supervise a cohort of Program Directors and ensure each site implements high-quality, developmentally appropriate programming aligned with citywide standards, school-day curricula, and QCH’s mission. You’ll collaborate closely with school leaders, funders, and internal departments to provide robust learning environments that support academic growth, social-emotional development, and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coach, and support Program Directors and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong instructional leadership

  • Align afterschool program goals and strategies with Department of Education (DOE) and DYCD priorities, and QCH's mission and youth development framework

  • Partner with school administrators and teachers to ensure programming complements the school day, supports academic outcomes, and meets students’ holistic needs

  • Oversee day-to-day operations at assigned sites, including safety, attendance, compliance, incident response, and documentation

  • Lead staff professional development, conduct site visits, and assess program quality using internal and external evaluation tools

  • Ensure full compliance with NYS School Age Child Care (SACC) regulations, DOE, DYCD, and other contract and regulatory requirements

  • Guide budget planning and track expenditures in collaboration with Program Directors

  • Develop positive relationships with parents and community stakeholders to promote program visibility and family engagement

  • Contribute to agency-wide planning, leadership initiatives, and strategic goals

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field

  • At least 18 credit hours in Education or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in youth development or education

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program leadership, school administration, or multi-site supervision

  • Familiarity with DOE, DYCD (COMPASS/SONYC), and SACC regulations and procedures

  • Strong organizational, communication, and instructional leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to coach staff and manage teams in dynamic settings

  • Cultural competence and a commitment to equity in education

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Education, School Leadership, Social Work, or related field

  • NYS OCFS SACC Director Credential (or ability to obtain)

  • Experience in instructional coaching or leading school-based afterschool programs

What You’ll Get:
Queens Community House offers a competitive compensation package including:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • Life Insurance and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

  • 403(b) Retirement Plan

  • Paid Family Leave (with QCH supplement to provide full pay during leave)

  • Up to 27 days of annual leave (including 17 vacation days in your first year), 12 sick days, and specified federal holidays

  • Extensive professional development, training, and networking opportunities
