- Daily Schedule: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Summer Skills Academy Instructional Assistant Grades 7-8 (Temporary)
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Present Instruction to Migrants and ELL students under the direction of a licensed teacher;
- Assist with clerical duties when assigned;
- Assist with supervisory duties during bus arrival and departure, Break, Lunch and as directed by administration and licensed teachers;
- Develop age-appropriate activities for students;
- Call parents regarding attendance issues;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Effective communication skills with students, parents and staff
- Ability to work as part of a team
- First aid card or the ability to obtain
- Applicants must be “highly qualified” as per federal guidelines prior to being hired. To be “highly qualified”, an applicant must meet one of the following criteria:
- An Associate’s Degree (or higher)
- Two years of postsecondary study from an institution of higher learning (48 semester or 72 quarter hours)
- Have a Work Keys Certificate
