What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Food Service Cashier and Paraprofessional - Elementary Building position at Forest City Community School District?
For the 2026-27 School Year. 180 Days Per Year (School Days), 4.25 hours per day from 10:15 am to 2:30 pm.
First Day of Employment as soon as available.

To provide professional staff with clerical and tutoring assistance, and help with general supervision of students when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed.
- Evidence of abilities to relate and work with a heterogeneous group of people.
- HS Diploma Required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) terminal, track student meal accounts, record daily meal counts and assist as needed in the serving lines to maintain a clean, friendly cafeteria environment.
- Supervise students on a monitorial basis including playground, lunchroom, halls and bathroom, library, and bus loading.
- Perform various necessary clerical and other routine school tasks including; checking and recording student work, classroom housekeeping, locating and preparing instructional materials, typing, preparing AV materials, maintaining cumulative student files.
- Assists teacher with non-instructional classroom duties as necessary.
- Assists with supervision of students in classrooms, study halls, media center, playground, lunchroom, hallways, bus duty as needed and directed by the classroom teacher.
- Assists with students evaluations and Individual Education Plans (IEP) as directed by the teacher.
- Transports students to job sites or alternative learning opportunities.
