About the role
We are a small, growing real estate and property management firm looking for a reliable and detail oriented Accounting Clerk to support our day to day accounting operations. This position will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, property transactions, and common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
We currently use QuickBooks desktop and are exploring property management and accounts payable software to make our processes more efficient. The right candidate will be organized, comfortable using accounting and office software, and able to help keep financial records accurate and up to date.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, code expenses to the correct property and account, and prepare payments
- Record tenant payments and other receipts, monitor outstanding balances, and assist with follow-up on past-due accounts
- Enter and maintain accurate transactions in QuickBooks Desktop
- Assist with bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Help prepare annual CAM reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Maintain organized digital and paper accounting records
- Assist with reviewing property expenses, tenant ledgers, and financial reports
- Communicate with tenants, vendors, and internal team members about billing and payment questions
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new accounting software and improved processes
- Assist with other general bookkeeping and office tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting support role
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, including spreadsheets, email, and calendar management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and handle financial information responsibly
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Real estate or property management accounting experience is a plus
- Experience with CAM reconciliations is a plus

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
