General Statement of Duties:
Under the direction of the Safety Director, the Field Safety Specialist is responsible for promoting and maintaining job safety protocols and fostering a proactive safety culture in Well Servicing operations. This role provides direct support through executing safety plans, conducting risk management, delivering training, performing inspections and assisting with incident investigations and reporting. Approximately 90% of this role is field-based and 10% is office-based.
This role ensures Foremost Well Service adheres to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This role is expected to coordinate with ALL divisions, regardless of location, as needed to add value as needed.

Summary of Duties: (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following)
Safety Programs and Compliance
· Assist in the implementation of company safety and environmental policies.
· Help communicate and reinforce safety protocols to employees in the field.
· Provide feedback to the Safety Director on the effectiveness of safety programs and suggest improvements.
· Maintain familiarity with OSHA, DOT, API, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
· Assist with ensuring compliance with HSE programs and standards.
· Help coordinate responses during incidents or emergency situations.
· Provide field-level support in monitoring the effectiveness of HSE programs.
Risk Management & Inspections
· Support daily rig site visits and provide reports to the Safety Director and operations.
· Assist in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks in well servicing operations.
· Conduct field-level inspections of rigs, equipment and facilities under guidance of the Safety Director.
· Help document hazards and recommend corrective actions for review.
Training and Education
· Assist in delivering safety and environmental trainings as directed by the Safety Director.
· Help organize safety meetings, pre-job briefings, new hire orientations, and emergency procedure training.
· Provide coaching and mentoring to employees on safe practices, hazard recognition, and reporting.

Incident Analysis and Investigations
· Assist in incident reporting and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
· Support the Safety Director and Operations team in investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
· Review and deliver corrective actions to employees while ensuring they are documented and tracked to completion
· Collaborate with HR to coordinate drug and alcohol testing for post-accident investigations.
· Provide assistance in Workers’ Compensation claim filing and follow-up as directed.
Administrative and Support
· Maintain a positive and proactive safety culture across the work teams.
· Assist in organizing safety equipment needs and ensure all employees are equipped with proper PPE.
· Report field observations, employee concerns and provide feedback to improve job safety practices to the Safety Director.
· Assist with maintaining HSE files, DOT records, and related documentation.
· Coordinate with HR to manage random drug and alcohol testing programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Effective verbal and written communication with ability to train and mentor employees.
· Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with employees, customers and vendors.
· Knowledge of oilfield safety, training and environmental standards and practices.
· Understanding of OSHA, DOT, API, EPA regulations and reporting requirements.
· Ability to inspect equipment, processes and procedures and identify hazards.
· Working knowledge of safety equipment, materials and technology in the workover industry.
· Ability to manage stress and respond effectively in emergencies.
· Maintain required training certificates per company training matrices.
· Willingness to work flexible or on-call hours as business needs dictate.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work outside in various and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and bend to access equipment, rigs and vehicles.
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time, often 8 hours per day.
- May require working at heights over 4 feet for extended periods of time.
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, grease, dust, fuel fumes or other irritants.
- Exposure to loud noise.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Safety, Environmental Science or related field required; Bachelor's degree in same field preferred; 3-5 years of direct experience can be used in lieu of education.
- Valid Drivers License required, Commercial Drivers License preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- KPA Experience preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably well servicing.
- Experience in Root Cause Investigation and Analysis is preferred;
- Working knowledge of OSHA, Workers’ Compensations and reporting systems.
- Certifications in PEC Safeland; H2S and First Aid CPR required, training certifications or willing to obtain preferred.
