Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) Senior Technician to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, and servicing of computer room air conditioning units, including HVAC system repair and HVAC system installation.
• Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics to identify faults in HVAC/R equipment.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration components, mechanical systems, plumbing connections, and building automation systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, fans, filters, and other mechanical equipment to optimize performance.
• Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately interpret system layouts and troubleshoot complex HVAC systems effectively.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports; communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding system status and repairs.
• Support property maintenance activities by coordinating with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or upgrades when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven construction experience combined with service technician experience in HVAC/R systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing mechanical systems such as boilers, pumps, fans, and refrigeration units.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans.
• Experience with electrical systems diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), HVAC system maintenance practices, and plumbing fundamentals.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC or property maintenance are a plus.
• Familiarity with HVAC system repair techniques including air conditioning units and ventilation systems; experience with HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting is essential.
• Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; experience with mechanical systems repair in commercial environments preferred.
• Valid van driver’s license preferred for transportation between sites; excellent customer service skills are essential for interacting professionally with clients and team members alike.
