What you’ll own
- Daily execution of shipping and receiving—plan work, set priorities, and hit turnaround targets.
- Team leadership—mentor, train, and support shipping/receiving associates to elevate performance.
- Cross‑functional coordination—partner with purchasing, planning, and production to keep inventory aligned with demand.
- Documentation excellence—maintain precise records, tracking, and shipment paperwork; resolve issues with carriers and vendors.
- Safety stewardship—apply and reinforce warehouse safety protocols to protect people and product.
- Continuous improvement—spot inefficiencies and implement better methods.
- Inventory accuracy—assist with cycle counts and audits to ensure data integrity.
- Stakeholder communication—provide clear updates and rapid issue resolution.
- High school diploma/equivalency; further study in logistics/supply chain is beneficial.
- Proven background in shipping/receiving; leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Organization and attention to detail under fast‑moving conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; effective collaborator.
- Comfort with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with inventory systems and shipping software, including UPS WorldShip.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety guidelines and best practices.
- Physical capability to lift heavy packages and operate material‑handling equipment.
