Duties
- Operate and set up precision grinding machines, including ID/OD, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and centerless grinders, to achieve exact specifications.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions to determine grinding requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished parts using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience operating precision grinding machinery in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machining processes
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise machining.
Pay: $18.75 - $22.00 per hour
