Ford of Cookeville is looking for a Lot Manager to lead our lot operations team. If you're organized, hands-on, and like keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be a great fit.
As Lot Manager, you'll oversee our lot attendants, keep our inventory organized and secure, and make sure vehicles move efficiently between the lot, sales, and service. This is a full-time, salaried position with real ownership over how our lot operates day to day.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership
- Supervise, schedule, and train lot attendants
- Assign daily tasks and set priorities based on sales floor and service department needs
- Serve as the point of contact for lot-related issues during your shift
Lot & Inventory Management
- Maintain an organized, orderly lot layout that maximizes visibility and accessibility of vehicles
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
- Ensure all vehicles are secure, keys are accounted for, and lot access is controlled
- Keep the lot and vehicles clean, staged, and presentation-ready
Keybox & Key Control
- Add new inventory to the electronic keybox system upon vehicle arrival
- Assign and label keys correctly, ensuring every vehicle has an accurate keybox entry
- Remove keybox entries for sold or transferred vehicles in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and report keybox system issues as needed
- Maintain overall key control accuracy across the lot
Cross-Department Support
- Coordinate with sales management to prioritize vehicle moves for test drives, deliveries, and photography
- Support the service department with vehicle staging for drop-off and pickup
- Assist with new vehicle receiving, including offloading, inspection, and initial lot placement
- Prepare vehicles for delivery, including final lot checks before handoff to customers
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safe vehicle-handling practices on the lot
- Monitor for and report lot hazards, damage, or maintenance needs (lighting, pavement, fencing)
- Maintain accurate records of key control and vehicle movement logs
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in dealership operations, lot attendant work, or inventory management highly preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move objects and stay on your feet for extended periods, in all weather conditions
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with inventory software
- Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work a consistent full-time schedule
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
