Title: Director of eCommerce
Location: San Diego County or Remote (U.S.)
Overview: This high-impact role leads all digital commerce channels, including Amazon, retailer.com, and D2C, for a fast-growing CPG brand. The Director of eCommerce owns strategy, channel execution, P&L performance, content excellence, and the operational systems required to scale online. This person will partner closely with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Sales to drive sustainable revenue growth and margin performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and execute an integrated eCommerce strategy across Amazon, retailer.com, D2C, and emerging marketplaces
• Own the full eCommerce P&L, including revenue, margin, and investment decisions
• Lead annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and category opportunity assessment
• Manage all aspects of Amazon (1P/3P) including catalog, SEO, media, pricing, promotions, and profitability
• Drive availability, conversion, and performance on retailer.com partners such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco.com, and Thrive
• Oversee D2C experience including UX, funnel optimization, CRM, retention, merchandising, and pricing
• Partner cross-functionally on demand planning, inventory, launches, promotions, and channel strategy
• Develop world-class content and storytelling in partnership with Marketing
• Build dashboards, run A/B tests, improve catalog health, reduce chargebacks, and enhance account performance
• Lead agencies and mentor internal partners to elevate digital capabilities across the organization
Qualifications
• 8 years of eCommerce experience within CPG, preferably food or beverage
• Proven ownership of Amazon and retailer.com P&Ls with a track record of revenue and profit growth
• Strong expertise in UX flows, content strategy, SEO/SEM, CRM, and digital shopper insights
• Highly analytical with financial modeling, forecasting, and optimization experience
• Skilled at leading third-party agencies and influencing cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA optional
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
