Director of Information Systems
Location: Long Island, NY | 4 days per week in office
Position Overview
An established organization within the beverage alcohol industry is seeking a Director of Information Systems to lead the operational delivery of enterprise business systems, data, analytics, and reporting platforms.
This role will have significant ownership across ERP, Power BI reporting, data governance, enterprise applications, and emerging technology. The Director will partner closely with technology leadership and stakeholders across the business to ensure systems and data are scalable, reliable, and effectively support business decision-making.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building reporting solutions, and creating structure in an evolving technology environment. The organization is open to both experienced Directors and high-performing Managers ready to take the next step in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational delivery across enterprise applications, ERP, data, analytics, and reporting platforms.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and operational reports while ensuring reporting accuracy, usability, and consistency.
- Partner with stakeholders across departments to translate business needs into effective reporting and technology solutions.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards and processes, improving data quality, integrity, and centralized ownership.
- Support the ongoing administration, optimization, and adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Support the development and ongoing management of centralized data infrastructure incorporating multiple internal and third-party data sources.
- Identify data risks, reporting gaps, and process inefficiencies and proactively recommend solutions.
- Drive practical adoption of approved AI and emerging technology tools to increase automation and organizational efficiency.
- Manage and mentor team members while remaining actively involved in hands-on execution.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, contract administration, and technology evaluations related to enterprise applications.
- Partner with technology leadership to establish priorities and ensure effective execution across the broader IT environment.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- Beverage alcohol industry experience required.
- Experience with VIP and Circana data strongly preferred.
- Strong hands-on Power BI development experience, including building functional, refreshable dashboards and reports.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ERP implementations.
- Advanced Excel skills related to data management, reporting, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance.
- Experience leading IT teams and initiatives.
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve automation and efficiency.
- Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative, curiosity, creativity, accountability, and sound independent judgment.
- Comfortable operating in an environment where both strategic leadership and hands-on execution are expected.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $170,000 to $175,000
- Annual Bonus: 10%
