Forbes Solicitors LLP are seeking a Legal Cashier to join our Finance (Accounts) team at our Walton Summit Office. This role is full time role, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of hybrid working from home one day per week.

The Role
Forbes Solicitors LLP are seeking a Legal Cashier to join our Finance (Accounts) team at our Walton Summit Office. This role is full time role, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of hybrid working from home one day per week.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving successful outcomes such as:
- Managing daily banking activities including transfers, reconciliations, and client-to-office transactions.
- Preparation of online electronic bank transfers, CHAPS, BACS and Faster.
- Completion of timely and accurate reconciliations of both client and business bank accounts.
- Reconciling client ledgers to ensure all transactions are correct and compliant.
- Managing, recording and balancing petty cash in line with financial procedures.
- Raising and processing accurate client invoices, ensuring timely sales ledger management as part of the sales ledger.
- Posting and processing all client and office transactions efficiently and accurately and carrying out authorised client to office transfers in accordance with SRA regulations.
- Allocation of incoming payments, maintain accurate financial records, and resolve discrepancies.
- Responding to client and stakeholder finance queries promptly and professionally.
- Completion of month-end and year-end processes through reconciliations, reporting, and documentation.
- Exercising integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting and comply with financial standards, policies and client requirements.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records, updating all relevant systems and records as required to ensure all financial processes and transactions comply with SRA Accounts Rules.

- Previous experience in a financial role with knowledge of accounting processes
- Excellent numeracy skills;
- Attention to detail and be able to work effectively, prioritising tasks by importance of completion in order to meet deadlines;
- aligns with the Firms values;
- have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;
- have the ability to work as part of a team;
- have strong commercial awareness;
- have proven competence in their IT skills (Outlook, Word, and other systems experience);
- have good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- have an interest in long term development/progression in the department;
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier with knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules;
- Previous experience of a case management system, preferably Partner for Windows;
- Experience of identifying areas for improvement and implementing change.
