What You'll Do
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you'll be responsible for keeping our fleet operating safely and reliably by:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues
- Completing preventative maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshooting equipment in both shop and field environments
- Performing quality repairs that minimize repeat failures and downtime
- Using diagnostic software, service manuals, and manufacturer information
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and work orders
- Working closely with operations to keep equipment available for crews
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
We're looking for mechanics who enjoy troubleshooting and take pride in fixing equipment right the first time.
Ideally, You'll Have
- 4 years of experience maintaining heavy equipment, commercial trucks, or construction equipment
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience working on mixed fleets
- Journeyman certification or equivalent trade qualification (preferred)
- Experience with bucket trucks, digger derricks, utility equipment, or aerial devices is an asset
- A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Enjoy solving difficult mechanical problems
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Take pride in quality workmanship
- Communicate well with teammates and operators
- Stay calm under pressure and enjoy keeping equipment moving
