Seasonal Retail Sales Associate (Great Bones)

Position Details

Title: Retail Sales Associate, Place of Great Bones @ Summer House, 16 Ocean Ave, Siasconset, MA

Term: Mid-June - September: 7 days/week

Schedule: Varies, general structure of 5-6 days/week for 6-8 hour shifts

Compensation: Starts at $20 /hr depending on experience

Overview

We are building a team of dynamic and adaptable Store Associates at our jewel box bungalow shop in ‘Sconset. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-facing retail environment, is detail-oriented, and enjoys a mix of sales, merchandising, inventory management, and event execution. The shop is small but mighty (one person working at a time), requiring an independent self-starter to drive sales and delightful merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

At Great Bones, Sales Associates will combine 3 key roles to “host the party” and maintain the authentic Great Bones brand experience while efficiently and effectively driving sales. Associates are responsible for executing store standards, driving sales through extensive styling and product knowledge, maintaining effective communication with senior leadership and other team members, and providing an exceptional guest experience.

1.  Cashwrap (Point-of-Sale & Customer Service)

• Manage transactions efficiently at the register, ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting with returns, exchanges, and inquiries.
• Keep the cashwrap area clean, organized, and well stocked as space is limited.
• Maintain the flow of product from the cashwrap to its proper location, and own the distribution of frontstock inventory and relevant supplies.

2.  Sales Floor (Customer Engagement & Merchandising)

• Greet and assist customers, offer product recommendations and styling advice, as well as introduce customers to the Great Bones / For Now brand and our partners.
• Keep the sales floor organized, restocked, and visually appealing.
• Retrieve sizes from backstock as needed and maintain overall store cleanliness.

3.  Stock & Fulfillment (Inventory, Online Orders & Organization)

• Receive, unpack, and process new inventory.
• Replenish floor inventory from backstock as needed and communicate with leadership for inventory needs.
• Keep the storage area organized, labeled, and easy to navigate.

Additional Requirements

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and events as needed
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk up & down outdoor stairs to arrive at the poolside location
• Housing is not provided with this position, accommodations must be secured prior to your start date
