Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, science, and social skills.
- Support classroom management efforts by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills.
- Provide attentive childcare, ensuring the safety, well-being, and emotional support of children during daily routines and activities.
- Help facilitate inclusive learning environments by working effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to monitor individual student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that fosters curiosity and independence among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's development, behavior, and classroom activities.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including special education strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Experience assisting in lesson planning for preschoolers with a focus on literacy, math, and Montessori or other educational philosophies is advantageous.
- Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques to support a positive learning environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families in school or daycare settings.
- Experience working with children with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with young children, parents, and team members.
