Position: Field Manager Job Description Position Type: Construction / Flooring Schedule: Full-time
Location: On the road (Salt Lake, Ogden)
Overview:
Start new jobs with customers and crew, “walk through” the space and scope of the project with all parties, be sure to answer any questions, and work out the logistics. This is a BASE SALARY role (Daily Local Travel Required - THIS ROLE IS IN THE "FIELD" AT SERVICE LOCATIONS *The role will require occasional Physical Labor - sometimes delivering & moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs and positioning self to inspect and resolve issues located at floor level)
Primary Tasks & Responsibilities
- Floor Projects and Work Crew
- Visit at least once a day and manage
- Helping solve problems
- Accounting for the correct materials
- Accounting for correct job measurements as needed
- Delivering extra material
- Collecting leftover material
- Ensure everything in work order is being completed; stain samples, correct stain and finish, timeline, etc....
- Moisture testing as needed
- Reporting any problems above and beyond expertise to the direct supervisor (Production Manager)
- Regular communication and updates with the direct supervisor, Production Manager
Communication with Homeowner
- At least once a day
- Answering all questions and concerns
- Setting up expectations and guidelines for project
- Timeline updates
- Care taking, seasonal gapping, and other important floor information
- Providing a responsive and clear path for communication; answering calls/messages promptly via text, phone, and email.
Collecting/Depositing Checks
- Establishing with homeowner early about payment at project completion
- Checks are better than credit cards, however credit cards are accepted.
- Text Dana Benedict with credit card information or establish communication for homeowner to contact Dana directly.
- Depositing Checks ASAP to nearest Chase bank with correct account information, or give checks directly to Justin Cowly.
Emailing Work Order Changes
- Email Scott by Friday of each week with any and all changes for work orders
Follow Up Fixes
- Fix all problems within skill level, if completed in “5 minutes”
- All fixes should be solved/completed by the original crew of the project as much as possible.
- Pass along fixes/problems that are above skill level to Production Manager
MISC
- Depositing work crew checks on Fridays
- Delivering material as needed prior to projects
- Effective communication with sales as needed
- Set up and tear down for Home Show
Skills:
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management

Education & Experience
- Management experience preferred
- Construction Exp: 2 years
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Spanish/Portuguese preferred
Compensation:
Salary Range: $48,000 - $55,000 annually
