Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our Podiatry team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, communicating with patients, and assisting the front desk. You must be willing to commute to both of our office locations in Bedford and Flower Mound, based on the doctor's clinic schedule.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits for medical services, obtaining necessary pre-authorizations and referrals
- Communicate with patients on their coverage & financial responsibilities
- Set up new and existing patient appointments
- Answer phone calls
- Reach out and follow-up with patient referrals
- Back-up for front desk
Qualifications
- Prior insurance verification experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with insurance providers, patients, and healthcare staff.
- Office experience with proficiency in healthcare software systems or electronic health records (EHR).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
