Job Summary
The Estimator/Project Manager acts as the primary liaison between the Foremen and the Owner of the company. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing concrete construction projects from start to finish. The Estimator/Project Manager will also assist the Senior Estimator as needed and ensure that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of communication between field supervisors (Foremen) and the Owner.
  • Coordinate and manage project schedules, labor needs, and equipment allocation.
  • Review and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist in estimating, budgeting, and cost control throughout project duration.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues that arise in the field in coordination with Foremen and Owner.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee progress, safety, and quality control.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, change orders, RFI logs, and project logs.
  • Participate in project meetings with owners, clients, or contractors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and internal procedures.
  • Help manage subcontractors and suppliers when necessary.
  • Identify risks and propose solutions to minimize project disruptions.
  • Support crew development and offer guidance to field teams as needed.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

While the Project Manager does not directly supervise field crews, they are responsible for overseeing the work of Foremen and ensuring they have the resources and direction needed to succeed.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred, but not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction, with 2 years in a supervisory or project coordination role
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial concrete estimating.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods and field practices
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with project management software, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to walk, stand, and visit active construction sites as needed

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Must be able to travel to job sites, walk on uneven terrain, and perform site inspections. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,400.00 - $72,800.00 per year
