Commercial Concrete Estimator
Caldo Concrete is seeking an Estimator for their commercial concrete construction. The individual in this role will need to be detailed orientated with the ability to read blueprints and be able to communicate and meet with customers, clients and general contractors in a professional manner.
The successful candidate will:
- Estimate commercial concrete construction projects.
- Reviews detailed blueprints
- Drafts estimate based on plans and does takeoff
- Negotiates prices with vendors for needed supplies and materials
- Reviews all scopes of work
- Assist with value engineering and negotiations
- Review contracts for accuracy and discrepancies
- Works with project managers and supervisors
- Responsible for pre-construction duties including contract review, submittals, and fabrication.
- Generates and submits technical records RFI’s, inspection records, and close out reports
- Meet with Owners, General Contractor and others in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
- Sourcing materials and prices for each project
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of concrete construction
- Proficient computer skills in programs such as Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently.
- Ability to read and interpret plans.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience/knowledge of construction
