Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Front of House Team Member to join our restaurant team. Those applying should have prior job experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong communication skills, and a passion for providing memorable dining experiences. Previous experience with POS systems such as Toast along with a background in quick service is desirable. Weekends required.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed during all food handling activities
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple tables or customers promptly during busy periods
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with sanitation standards
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed in a fast-paced café or restaurant setting
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or retail environments preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Experience with food handling, sanitation, and safety standards in the food industry
- Capable of multitasking efficiently in a quick service or fast-food setting
- Ability to multitask and worth efficiently
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends and holidays as needed, flexibility to pick up shifts
- A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and eagerness to learn new skills
