Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing customer invoicing, processing payments, maintaining accurate accounts receivable records, and assisting with collections to ensure timely cash flow. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
- Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, payment status, and account issues.
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Prepare aging reports and provide updates on outstanding receivables.
- Maintain accurate customer account information and financial records.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Account reconciliation experience required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
