POSITION: Warehouse Manager
HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Flexibility Necessary)
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One to two years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and receiving documents. Ability to write legibly on receiving documents and fill out forms which apply to warehouse receiving operations. Ability to understand and communicate with fellow employees. Speak and write English correctly and clearly; be able to hear and understand phones and spoken instruction.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as number of cases received, weights, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; taste and smell. The employee is also required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. The employee must regularly push and/or pull carts which weigh up to 200 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works with heavy equipment, and will be exposed to warehouse/weather conditions, extreme cold, and vibration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Flexible schedule depending on when receiving’s are scheduled, and when maintenance/facility technicians are scheduled.
- Overseeing all warehouse operations and personnel. Responsible for hiring, managing, and if need be, firing warehouse personnel.
- Assuring facility is secure when employees are not around
- Weekly walk throughs of entire warehouse to assure proper function of equipment such as reefer heat pumps, fans, freezer units etc.
- Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
- Maintaining safety standards to ensure that products are dispatched and delivered safely and efficiently.
- Overseeing night crew and general training of night crew.
- Scheduling of facility maintenance and overseeing that all maintenance is done according to company policies for warehouse.
- Maintaining warehouse employee’s certifications (forklift, stock picker, pallet jacks etc.).
- Ensuring product quality when received and maintaining quality, organization and cleanliness of product throughout the warehouse.
- Seeing all paperwork is turned into the computer by 2:45 PM.
- Training of day and night crew in First in First Out receiving and shipping procedures.
- Making sure the Friday closing procedure is done every week.
- Making sure the Master Cleaning Schedule procedures are done properly and on time.
- Making sure the daily temperature logs are being completed.
- Responsible for leading any inspections by USDA, WSDA, FDA, DLA, etc.
- To minimize expenses to the company in maintenance, repair and other applicable areas.
- Maintaining complete compliance for any warehouse related HCAAP requirements
- Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.13 - $48.08 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
