Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple land surveying projects simultaneously

Develop scopes of work, schedules, and project budgets

Provide technical leadership to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables

Lead and mentor a team of field and office survey professionals

Oversee the preparation of plats, legal descriptions, topographic surveys, TxDOT right-of-way maps, and construction staking
-
Coordinate field operations and allocate project resources
-
Maintain client relationships, serve as the primary point of contact, and drive business development

Prepare proposals, negotiate fees, and follow up on invoicing and collections
-
Ensure QA/QC processes and compliance with firm standards
-
Contribute to firm-wide sales goals and strategic project pursuits

Support training, hiring, and talent development within the survey team
Required Qualifications
-
Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas
-
Minimum 10 years of land surveying experience, including boundary, construction, and topographic surveys
-
At least 5 years of experience managing survey teams and projects
-
Experience working with TxDOT standards and deliverables
-
Strong proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Geopak, Carlson Survey, and C&G

Business development skills and client-facing experience

Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record

Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
