What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Specialist position at Food Management Search?
We are seeking a field Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to support two operations.
This is a field focused role for someone who can build strong relationships with employees and supervisors while driving safety and environmental compliance.
What You'll Do
- Lead EHS and MSHA compliance activities across both locations.
- Conduct field inspections, identify hazards, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions to completion.
- Maintain safety programs, training records, compliance calendars, and required documentation.
- Support MSHA inspections, training, task training, and hazard awareness.
- Prepare and maintain required reports, permits, sampling records, manifests, and agency documentation.
- Lead or support safety committees, toolbox talks, employee training, and emergency preparedness.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to build practical and proactive EHS programs.
- Serve as a key point of contact during regulatory inspections and follow up on findings and corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of EHS experience in chemical, mining, industrial minerals, manufacturing, heavy industry, construction materials, utilities, or a similar industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting inspections, recognizing hazards, investigating incidents, and managing corrective actions.
- Familiarity with environmental programs involving stormwater, waste, and chemical management.
- Experience and willingness to work in outdoor industrial environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.
