We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to support aviation and airport infrastructure projects. This role leads field execution from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance.
Projects may include airport terminals, airside/landside infrastructure, runway and taxiway improvements, utility systems, and support facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day construction execution for aviation and airport infrastructure projects
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company HSE standards
- Manage project controls including scheduling, cost forecasting, and earned value tracking
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure seamless EPC delivery
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and key performance metrics
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, bid packages, contract negotiations, and change orders
- Administer contract processes including RFIs, submittals, change management, and closeout
- Ensure compliance with FAA, local authority, and airport operational requirements
- Coordinate with airport stakeholders, tenants, and regulatory agencies to minimize operational disruptions
- Monitor construction progress and provide reporting to senior leadership and clients
- Support commissioning, startup, and project turnover processes
- Oversee QA/QC programs and ensure adherence to project specifications and standards
- Manage materials, logistics, and site mobilization/demobilization activities
- Lead project closeout, documentation, and warranty administration
- Mentor junior staff and field personnel; support team development and performance management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7 years of construction project management experience, preferably in aviation or large infrastructure projects
- Experience delivering projects in active airport environments strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of EPC project delivery, construction management, and project controls
- Proficiency with scheduling and cost control tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and airport authority coordination is a plus
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
- Working knowledge of project financials and basic accounting principles (GAAP)
- Willingness to travel up to 100% based on project needs
