CNC Production Technician
Location: Marion, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm (overtime as needed)
Pay: $20 /hour depending on experience
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire
Job Summary
A growing manufacturer in the Marion area is seeking a dependable CNC Production Technician to support machining operations for a variety of custom metal components. This role involves operating both CNC lathes and CNC milling machines in a dynamic, job-shop environment.
Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machining equipment (lathe and mill)
• Load raw materials, set tooling, and verify machine readiness
• Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and work instructions
• Perform offset adjustments and minor program edits as needed
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision measurement tools
• Ensure all parts meet dimensional and quality specifications
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical and tooling issues
• Maintain production documentation and keep work area clean and organized
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on CNC equipment
• Follow established shop safety procedures
Qualifications
• Experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines (both strongly preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and verify tolerances
• Strong measurement and inspection skills
• Ability to adjust tool offsets and perform basic program edits
• Mechanical aptitude; familiarity with G-code is a plus
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
