What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fast Food Crew Member position at Food Exchange Restaurant?
Overview
Food Exchange is looking for dependable, energetic team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in providing great customer service and quality food. This is a cross-trained position where every team member plays an important role in the daily success of the restaurant including limited cashier duties, kitchen prep, fry cook, and cleaning.
Our restaurant is carryout only, so we're looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, multitasking, and working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with in-person orders
- Manage DoorDash and other delivery platform orders
- Accurately bag and verify orders before they leave the restaurant
- Assist with prepping food, including hand-pattying burgers, machine-slicing/cutting vegetables, and prepping buns
- Operate the fry station while maintaining food quality and safety standards
- Restock ingredients, supplies, and packaging throughout the shift
- Wash dishes and keep the kitchen clean and organized
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, dining area, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces
- Sweep, mop, take out trash, and maintain the cleanliness of both the inside and outside of the restaurant
- Help maintain an inviting appearance around the entrance, sidewalks, and parking area
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure quick, accurate service during busy periods
Skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required—we are happy to train motivated individuals.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
