Bilingual Food Production Worker

Our distribution center is currently seeking bilingual and detail-oriented individuals to join our food production team. The working schedule is from 9:00am-7:00pm, Monday-Thursday and from 9:00am-12:00pm on Friday. Thei bilingual food production worker will train with other distribution staff to prepare batches and package portions to be distributed to the restaurants.

Job Duties

· Execute food preparation tasks including but not limited to cutting, portioning, cooking, and packaging, in line with established recipes and production schedules.

· Operate equipment and machinery for food processing, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.

· Maintain accurate logs of production, tracking ingredients, cooking times, and packaging details.

· Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment.

· Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals.

· Communicate effectively and efficiently in Spanish and English to make sure processes are understood, completed, and documented successfully.

Other Tasks

• · Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
• · Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• · Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions.
• · Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items.
• · Pack and store materials and products.
• · Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
• · Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using designated carts.
• · Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
• · Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.
• · Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
• · Wash work areas, machines, equipment, or products.
• · Record information, such as the number of products made, who contributed to the job, or dates and times of product production.
• · Mark or tag identification on product.
• · Clean and Check Equipment and have it ready to use for the next task

Requirements:

• · Bilingual (English/Spanish) is needed for training and learning purposes
• · Experience in a food production facility or kitchen environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• ·Must be 18 years of age
• Wiling to work in cold room or below freezing environments
• Must be dependable, punctual, and adhere to all food and safety stanard procedures

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift 50 pounds as part of performing daily duties.

· Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
