What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freshman Volleyball Coach position at Fontbonne The Early College of Boston?
Fontbonne | The Early College of Boston is looking for a Freshman Volleyball Coach for the fall 2026 season. This position is responsible for coaching and providing direction and instruction to student-athletes so they can achieve a high level of skill and an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The Coach will work under the supervision of the Athletic Director in accordance with Fontbonne’s core values.
The responsibilities for this position include:
Support and work with the Varsity Volleyball Coach
Develop the Freshman Volleyball team
Coordinate all efforts for the freshman team, including developing daily practice plans, game management and game plans.
Attend all practices, training, and games as determined by the head coach which could include varsity practices
Assist in developing the volleyball program and individual players through player development.
Assist the varsity volleyball coach in building a positive and winning culture to develop more interest in the sport.
Promote and encourage sportsmanship and team values at all times
Ensure that all athletic activities conform to MIAA guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Prior coaching experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive, and qualify under Fontbonne’s insurance carrier when driving a school vehicle
