Foley Family Law is seeking an experienced, full-time Family Law Paralegal to join our growing Tampa team.
Family law requires more than preparing documents and tracking deadlines. Our clients are navigating some of the most difficult and personal moments of their lives. What You’ll Do
In this role, you will work closely with our attorneys and clients throughout every stage of a family law case. Responsibilities include:
- Managing divorce, paternity, parental responsibility, timesharing, child support, and alimony matters
- Drafting petitions, answers, motions, discovery, financial affidavits, parenting plans, notices, and other family law documents
- Preparing and filing documents through Florida’s electronic filing system
- Managing discovery, mandatory disclosures, deadlines, and case calendars
- Maintaining accurate and organized electronic client files
- Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other professionals
- Preparing attorneys and case materials for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Assisting with settlement documents and agreements
- Monitoring cases, identifying upcoming needs, and helping move matters forward
- Working collaboratively with attorneys and staff to provide an excellent client experience
What We’re Looking For
The right candidate will have:
- A minimum of two years of hands-on family law experience
- Experience working with divorce, paternity, timesharing, child support, and alimony cases
- Knowledge of Florida family law procedures, deadlines, mandatory disclosure requirements, and court filing systems
- Strong drafting, proofreading, organizational, and time-management skills
- The ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines without losing attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence communicating with clients who may be emotional or under significant stress
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management software
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
- Sound judgment and a strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and client care
Experience with MyCase is helpful but not required.
