What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Application Specialist position at Foley Equipment?
The Product Application Specialist position works closely with sales reps to promote products to customers. You will build relationships with customers to determine their equipment needs and educate them on machine operations, application and best practices for the equipment that will best meet their project needs.
What You Will Do in This Role:
- Work with sales representatives to make recommendations on products that better fit customer needs
- Develop and conduct Operator Training for internal and external customers
- Demonstrate features and benefits of Caterpillar equipment and stay up-to-date on competing equipment
- Comply with all government safety requirements and regulations
- Promote safety in the workplace
- Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations, with at least 30% of the time involving overnight stays.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- 5 years of heavy construction equipment operation in road maintenance or excavation experience
- 3 years of related experience and/or training of related construction equipment
- Ability to effectively demonstrate and promote products and features to a group
- Strong computer experience
- Strong communication skills
- Working knowledge of equipment use and operation
