What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Service Coordinator position at Foley Equipment?
As a Fleet Service Coordinator, you'll support daily operations by ensuring sales and rental inventory is available, maintained, and ready for use. This role requires strong technical aptitude, effective prioritization, and close coordination with multiple teams to keep the fleet operating safely and efficiently.
What You Will Do in This Role:
- Effectively manage the rental fleet, analyzing repair impact on finances to maximize ROI
- Strategically prioritize machine work while maintaining an equilibrium between competing demands
- Monitor and analyze machine repair trends and expenses, developing and implementing processes to optimize fleet condition
- Lead pre-delivery inspection for new machines and ready used machines for sale
- Coordinate warranty work, safety recalls, and product updates
- Administer the customer damage process
- Ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal agencies for the rental fleet
- Effectively establish rapport with multiple service department leaders and collaborate with them to complete tasks that have conflicting priorities.
- Occasional travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations

- Possesses a basic understanding of mechanical systems and nomenclature
- Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude

- Has excellent customer relations and communication abilities, fostering positive relationships
