Job Title: Water Treatment Technician Apprentice
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Water Treatment Technician Apprentice to join our team. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who want to learn the water treatment industry through hands-on training and mentorship. No prior experience is required, but experience with plumbing, mechanical systems, or related trades is a plus.
The apprentice will assist senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and/or commercial water treatment systems while developing the skills needed to become a certified technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with the installation and servicing of water treatment systems (softeners, filters, RO systems, etc.)
- Learn to diagnose basic system issues and perform routine maintenance
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites
- Perform basic plumbing-related tasks under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and service vehicle
- Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Complete required training and certification programs as assigned
- Assist with inventory tracking
- Accurately invoice customers and collect payment
- Front counter assistance including ringing up customers and loading salt when necessary.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – we will train the right candidate
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Plumbing experience or trade school coursework is a plus, but not required
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week
