Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems ensuring clear communication of guest preferences and special requests
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage table turnover by bussing, resetting, and assisting with food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld through proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness practices
- Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining excellent guest service
- Experience with food preparation, basic math for cash handling, and cashiering enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques is essential
- Prior host/hostess or serving experience in a hospitality setting will support your success in creating welcoming guest relations
