We’re looking for a Healthcare AI Search Optimization Specialist to help healthcare organizations improve their visibility across AI-powered search platforms like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and emerging AI discovery tools. This role combines technical SEO, structured data implementation, AI-focused content optimization, and reputation management to ensure healthcare brands are discoverable in the future of search.
About the Role
We’re seeking someone who understands how AI systems consume, evaluate, and recommend healthcare content. The ideal candidate is equal parts technical SEO strategist, content optimizer, and AI visibility operator.
Key Responsibilities
Technical AI Search Optimization
- Resolve AI crawler access issues (GPTBot, Bingbot, etc.)
- Implement and manage:
- robots.txt directives
- XML sitemaps
- structured data/schema markup
- Ensure websites and content are accessible and readable by AI systems
- Improve crawlability, indexing, and technical search performance
Content Optimization for AI Search
- Rewrite and optimize healthcare service and location pages
- Structure content for AI extraction using:
- Answer-first formatting
- FAQ sections
- Detailed procedure explanations
- Implement:
- Medical review attribution
- Content timestamps and review dates
- Transform pages into AI-citable healthcare resources
Structured Data and Schema Implementation
- Implement and maintain JSON-LD schema, including:
- MedicalClinic
- Physician
- MedicalProcedure
- HealthInsurancePlan
- Ensure schema consistency and accuracy across websites
- Support AI understanding of healthcare entities and services
Local and Reputation Optimization
- Develop review generation and reputation-building strategies
- Optimize Google Business Profiles for multiple locations
- Improve visibility across:

- RealSelf
- Local “Best Of” directories and citations
- Support authority-building initiatives that improve AI recommendation
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Monitor visibility across:

- Deliver monthly reports and optimization recommendations
Qualifications
- 3 years of SEO experience (healthcare experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of:

- Experience with WordPress and SEO tools (RankMath preferred)
