What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Shop Assistant position at Focused Beam Inc.?
We're a small, established precision machine shop looking for a reliable person to help with day-to-day shop operations.
This is a steady, hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with their hands, and doing a variety of tasks. No experience is necessary.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining the shop
- Removing metal chips from machines
- Cutting material on the programmable saw
- Deburring and finishing machined parts
- Loading, unloading, and cycling CNC machines after training
- Making occasional local deliveries
- Helping keep the shop organized and running smoothly
What we're looking for:
- Dependable attendance and a good work ethic
- Someone who takes initiative without constant supervision
- Attention to detail and a willingness to follow instructions
- Comfortable with hands-on, physical work
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
This is a long term position with no machining experience required. We're happy to train the right person.
