Overview

The Candymaker is responsible for producing high-quality handcrafted candies while following safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The role involves measuring and mixing ingredients, cooking candy in batches, and operating specialized equipment such as large mixers, steam kettles, fire cookers, and large pots. Employees must read and follow recipes, formulas, measurements, product specifications, and instructions accurately. Candymakers may monitor multiple batches or processes at the same time and must recognize and report any quality issues or deviations. Keeping the workspace clean and sanitized throughout the shift is also an important part of the job. Employees must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety procedures to ensure products are safe and meet company standards. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, communicate effectively in English, have basic math and computer skills, and be able to understand recipes. The position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, as well as frequent standing, bending, stooping, and overhead lifting. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with experience in a commercial kitchen or manufacturing environment.

Pay: From $19.95 per hour
