Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 annually

About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing international organization seeking an experienced HR Operations & Payroll Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations across its North American workforce.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, HR compliance, employee relations, recruiting support, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and working closely with leadership to keep

This is not a highly strategic HR leadership role. Instead, it is an opportunity for a strong HR professional who thrives in the operational side of human resources and can confidently take ownership of payroll administration, compliance, and employee support functions.
The position reports directly to international leadership and requires someone who is comfortable working independently while serving as the primary HR resource for North American operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration & HR Operations
- Manage and oversee multi-state payroll processes utilizing ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
- Partner with managers across multiple locations to collect, validate, and process payroll information
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files
- Support benefits administration, leave management, and HR compliance initiatives
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Assess current HR and payroll workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop, document, and maintain HR procedures, payroll processes, and operational guidelines
- Create and maintain HR process documentation and administrative handbooks
- Help establish consistency, accountability, and operational efficiency across locations
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters
- Provide guidance to managers on employee issues, policy interpretation, performance concerns, and workplace matters
- Conduct investigations and support corrective action processes as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead recruitment efforts for management-level and professional positions
- Support onboarding and employee integration processes
- Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs and workforce planning initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Recent hands-on payroll administration experience
- Strong experience using ADP Workforce Now
- Experience supporting multi-state employee populations
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
- Employee relations and investigation experience
- Experience creating, improving, and documenting HR processes and procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience supporting distributed or multi-location workforces
- Experience building HR infrastructure, SOPs, and operational processes
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
