About The Role
As an Occupational Therapist at Spring Hill Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients, including:
- Evaluating patients' physical and cognitive abilities to develop personalized treatment plans
- Implementing evidence-based interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and independence
- Collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and communication
- Educating patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and self-care techniques
- Documenting patient progress and updating treatment plans as necessary
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients with a wide range of diagnoses and conditions, including but not limited to, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and orthopedic injuries
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patients' goals and improve functional abilities
- Implement multiple modalities of occupational therapy, including but not limited to, range of motion exercises, strength training, neuromuscular re-education, and cognitive rehabilitation
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nursing, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Provide education and support to patients and families on therapeutic exercises and self-care techniques
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
