Power BI Developer - Contract to Hire

Role: Power BI Developer
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire 
Location: The Woodlands, TX 77380
Hybrid: 3 days onsite

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. This role involves migrating existing Spotfire reports into Power BI and building new, interactive, and insightful dashboards from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, data visualization, and report development, with the ability to work across diverse data sources to deliver high-quality business intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate and transform existing Spotfire reports and dashboards into Power BI.
• Design and develop new Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models aligned with business requirements.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver data-driven insights.
• Improve report performance, ensure data quality, and maintain best practices in BI development.
• Implement and manage security and access controls within Power BI.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reporting and data integration.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
• Experience with Power Automate.
• Experience working with Tableau and understanding report migration between platforms.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with data modeling and ETL concepts.
