Sr Industrial Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a senior industrial engineer with experience in continuous improvement motion and time studies, plant layouts, and manufacturing cost analysis. This position will serve as the subject matter expert on process optimization and continuous improvement responsible for developing optimal process layouts, performing motion and time studies, analyzing manufacturing cost, and leading improvement teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review current process to find areas for optimization


• Develop layouts for new equipment and current manufacturing cell changes


• Perform motion and time studies


• Identify improvement projects and lead cross functional improvement teams


• Work cross functional with all groups time find areas for improvement

Required Experience

• Must have a 4-year degree in a relevant engineering discipline (industrial and systems engineering or manufacturing engineering preferred)


• Must have a minimum of 5-years' experience in industrial engineering and related activities


• Demonstrated ability to review processes and identify areas for optimization


• Demonstrated experience performing motion and time studies


• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing, six sigma, Toyota Production System, etc.


• Experience using CAD software to develop plant layouts

Preferred Experience

• Advanced education or training in one of the following areas: industrial and systems engineering, motion and time studies, manufacturing simulation, or continuous improvement


• 10 or more years' experience in industrial engineering and related activities


• Relevant certifications such as PE License, PMP, Six Sigma, etc.


• Experience with manufacturing simulation software


• Experience with motion and time study software


• Experience with process automation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
