Are you organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn a new industry? FNIC is looking for an Associate Placement Coordinator, Commercial Insurance to support our Placement team with new and renewal business marketing. This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in insurance or transitioning from another field who is motivated to learn and grow.
No prior insurance experience is required — we’re happy to train the right candidate who brings curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
What’s the work like?
As an Associate Placement Coordinator, Commercial Insurance, you’ll support the Placement team with administrative and marketing-related tasks that help ensure our clients receive timely and accurate insurance solutions. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation of new and renewal business marketing by reviewing applications and entering new clients
- Distributing new business and renewal accounts as directed by the Placement Manager, including maintaining marketing reports
- Managing accounts that require rating and binding through Assigned Risk markets
- Creating BOR letters, loss run request forms, and insurance proposals
- Sending submissions to insurance partners as directed by the Placement team
- Entering insurance forms and related information into the Agency Management System
- Quoting accounts online with insurance carriers, including single-line and package policies
- Following agency and departmental procedures
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Building technical knowledge through training, newsletters, bulletins, and seminars
- Collaborating effectively with team members across the organization
- Maintaining regular and reliable attendance
- Supporting special projects and additional duties as assigned

Requirements
What do I need to know?
You have to have…
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Exposure to Property & Casualty insurance or interest in learning the industry
- Property & Casualty Insurance License, or willingness to obtain upon hire
Salary : $21 - $23
