The Retail Banking Supervisor oversees the successful operation of the Retail Banker and Personal Banker areas of the branch. This role is responsible for the training, scheduling, and daily Personal Banker/Retail Banker activities as needed.
This role is an on-site position based in our New Richmond, WI branch location. Minimum travel to other branch locations may be required for training, meetings, etc. (eligible for mileage reimbursement). Hours for this position are Monday- Friday generally ranging from 7:45am- 5:30pm onsite, including a Saturday shift rotation. The standard schedule is as follows:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays: 7:45am - 4:00pm
- Thursdays: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Fridays: 7:45am - 4:00pm OR 8:00am - 5:00pm (rotation)
- Saturdays: 8:15am - 12:00pm (every fourth week working remotely unless otherwise needed onsite). $7/hour shift differential for Saturday hours worked!
Summary
Retail Banking Supervisor duties and job functions:
- Responsible for managing Retail Bankers & Personal Banker employees, including day-to-day activities such as scheduling, balancing, training, vault, ATM, security and reporting/compliance responsibilities
- Responsible for training and development of direct reports
- Has a clear understanding of all deposit products and services to make accurate product suggestions
- Has basic understanding of other financial services offered at bank
- Has higher override authority level and will handle complex issues and problems
- Provides recommendations regarding interviewing/hiring, performance review, performance improvement, termination, and salary adjustments
- Ensure adherence to all bank policies and procedures concerning Retail Banker functions
- Work with vendors for maintenance and supply needs for department
- Participate in internal and external audits as needed
- Order and shipping money for Fed
- Familiarity in the Personal Banker department to provide back-up
- Assist with Retail Banking duties as necessary
- Assist Retail Bankers when balancing issues come about using knowledge of common errors
- Answer phones as necessary based on branch needs
- Assist with Safe Deposit Box Entry
- Follows all directives of the First National Community Bank Retail Banker & Personal Banker Manuals
- Completes ongoing online training as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory / managerial experience desired
- A minimum of three years' experience in financial institution Personal Banker/Retail Banker activities
- Excellent communication skills required; ability to work in a team environment, learn quickly, and apply knowledge as needed
- Proficient in computer skills and ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to uphold confidentiality and customer privacy in all situations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Conflict resolution abilities
Software Operating Requirements Include:
- Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams
- Core Bank Software (Jack Henry) desired
Pay and benefit options include:
- Pay is commensurate with education and/or experience
- Shift differential of $7/hour on top of your regular/OT rate for hours worked on Saturdays
